马刺队员们在休息，但是却并不轻松：卫冕冠军在半决赛系列赛中同小牛战成3-3后，放假一天
这个赛季对马刺队来说延长了几天，他们在礼拜六的早上回到了圣安东尼奥。但是至少，他们已经在达拉斯完成了目标，将小牛推到了第七场将在马刺队主场进行的大决战。
在西部半决赛六场比赛，五场比分迫近的结果，让两队支队伍在思想上和精力上饱受压力，队员们神经也变得紧张烦乱，虽然带来了激情但是却让双方队员消耗了大量的体力。正如马刺队的Bowen被问及他和他的队友在星期六将会做什么时，他的回答是：“休息”。

Their season extended a few more days, at least, the Spurs (http://www.chinaspurs.com) arrived home early Saturday morning having accomplished their stated goal, pushing Dallas to a seventh game, delivered to their own court.
Six games and five desperate finishes have taxed the mind and spirit of both teams, fraying nerves and creating a thrilling, yet exhausting, Western Conference semifinals series. As Bruce Bowen (http://www.chinaspurs.com/players/bruce_bowen) said when asked what he and his teammates planned to do Saturday, "Rest."
"It's a pretty grueling experience, both mentally and physically," Spurs (http://www.chinaspurs.com) coach Gregg Popovich said. "But the adrenaline of the playoffs and the competitiveness makes you go. You don't stop until ... you lose or you go on to win a championship."
The Spurs (http://www.chinaspurs.com) would prefer the latter course, naturally. But after evening the series with a 91-86 victory in Dallas late Friday, they know better than to expect the Mavericks to concede anything Monday.
"It's not a situation where you're out of the woods," Bowen said. "All you've done is get the last game to your building."
Though glad the AT&T Center is playing host to Game 7, Popovich discounts home court as a large advantage because the two teams are closely matched. The only game not decided in the closing moments was Game 2 when Dallas rolled to a 22-point victory on the Spurs' floor. The Mavericks also handed the Spurs (http://www.chinaspurs.com) one of their seven regular-season home losses.
"It's like running a grocery store where the margin for profit is almost zippo," Popovich said. "Both teams are searching for some small advantage, some small margin, that could be the difference."
While Popovich gave the players Saturday off, he and his staff spent much of the day doing some of that searching at the team's practice facility, reviewing film and preparing one more game plan.
The Spurs (http://www.chinaspurs.com) consider 100 points a benchmark for their success. Keep Dallas under it, as they have in each of their three victories, and they think they have a decent chance of winning. And if they don't?
"We're going to have problems," Popovich said. " We can score 120 and still lose against this team."
The Mavericks figure to get a boost Monday when Jason Terry returns from his one-game suspension.
Without Terry to worry about Friday, the Spurs (http://www.chinaspurs.com) had an easier time double-teaming Dirk Nowitzki. Jerry Stackhouse, who replaced Terry in the starting lineup, missed 10 of his final 11 shots. Devin Harris, who had given the Spurs (http://www.chinaspurs.com) problems with his quickness while teaming with Terry in the backcourt, went 3 of 14.
Regardless, however, of who has or hasn't been on the floor, neither team has been able to separate from the other, with the exception of Game 2. The Mavericks led by eight early in the third quarter Friday only to find themselves tied less than 90 seconds later. "It's been a see-saw battle this entire series," Tim Duncan (http://www.chinaspurs.com/players/tim_duncan) said. "We just haven't been able to put together a little streak to get away from them, and the same with them.
"It's a credit to the teams and the way they're built and the mental toughness they have."
After taking a 3-1 lead in the series before losing two games they easily could have won, the Mavericks planned to use Saturday and Sunday to regroup.
"We approached (Friday) like a Game 7 because we didn't want the series to go back to San Antonio," Nowitzki said. "There's nothing we can do about it now except prepare for Monday when we can hopefully do some things better.
"We should be confident going into San Antonio... It's not like we can't win down there."
Both teams have proven they can win on the other's court. Of the 10 games they've played this season, each has won five. So, neither is surprised their series has gone the distance.
"If we played 20 games, we'd probably be 10-10," Popovich said. "It's just been decided seven games is where we're stopping."
