Jerome Kersey #25 – Currently works in the community relations department with the Portland Trail Blazers serving as an Alumni Ambassador … enjoyed a 17-year NBA career, most notably with the Trail Blazers from 1984-95 … after retiring in 2001 spent one season as an assistant coach with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Gerard King #54 – Was inducted into the Louisiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006 … played two seasons with the Washington Wizards after winning a Championship with the Spurs in 1999 … played for the U.S. National Team at the 1998 FIBA World Championship, winning the bronze medal.
Will Perdue #41 – Currently works for ESPN as a radio analyst covering the NBA … won three NBA Championships with the Chicago Bulls from 1991-1993 before capturing his fourth Championship with the Spurs in 1999 … averaged 4.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game over a thirteen-year career.
David Robinson #50– Is the founder of the Carver Academy located in San Antonio … the academy provides pre-kindergarten through sixth-grade students an education of excellence regardless of race, creed or financial status … will be inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame on Sept. 11, 2009.
Tim Duncan #21 – Is entering his 13th season with the Spurs … the only player in league history to be named to an All-NBA Team in each of his first 12 seasons (First Team – 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007; Second Team – 2006, 2008, 2009) … is just one of four players to be named Finals MVP three-or-more times: Michael Jordan (six times), Magic Johnson (three) and Shaquille O’Neal (three).
Sean Elliott #32– Currently serves as the color commentator on Spurs telecasts … became the first NBA player to return to action following a after a major organ transplant … serves as a spokesman for the National Kidney Foundation.
Malik Rose #31 – Is entering his 13th season in the NBA … started the 2008-09 season with the New York Knicks before being traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder midway through the season … won two Championships with the Spurs (1999 & 2003), one of just 10 players to win multiple championships with the Silver and Black.
Andrew Gaze #10 – Is the CEO of Gaze Footwear and Apparel … also serves as a TV commentator for NBL games in Australia … is the most decorated basketball player in NBL history … led the Melbourne Tigers to two league championships … won seven league MVP awards and is the NBL’s all-time leading scorer … played on five Australian Olympic Teams and served as the team captain in 1996 and 2000.
Antonio Daniels #33 – Is entering his 12th NBA season … spent the past season split between the Washington Wizards and New Orleans Hornets … still holds his annual summer basketball camps in San Antonio … spent a total of four seasons with the Spurs, averaging 7.7 points and 3.0 assists in 276 games.
Steve Kerr #4 – Currently serves as the President of Basketball Operations & GM for the Phoenix Suns … as part of the 1999 Spurs Championship he became the only non-Boston Celtic to win four straight NBA Titles (won three straight with the Chicago Bulls from 1996-98) … holds the NBA record for career 3-point percentage (45.4 percent, 726-of-1,599) and the single-season record for 3-point accuracy, hitting 52.4 percent (89-of-170) of his attempts during the 1994-95 campaign.
Avery Johnson #6 – Currently serves as a basketball analyst for ESPN/ABC … can also be found doing motivational speaking engagements … one of just six Spurs players to have his number retired … is the Silver and Black’s all-time leaders in assists 4,474.
Jaren Jackson #2– Most recently served as the head coach of the Ft. Wayne Mad Ants in the NBA D-League during the 2008-09 season … spent four seasons with the Spurs before wrapping up his NBA career with the Orlando Magic in 2001-02 … after his playing days served as head coach in the ABA and CBA before joining the Mad Ants.
Mario Elie #17 – Is entering his third year as an assistant coach on the Dallas Mavericks bench … after helping the Spurs win their first Championship, played one more season with the Phoenix Suns … started his coaching career with the Spurs in 2003-04.
Brandon Williams #11 – Is currently the Director of Basketball Operations for the NBA … after winning a Championship with the Spurs in 1999, continued his professional career overseas and with stints in the CBA, ABA and the NBA D-League … was featured on the DIY Network’s Man Caves.
