Wembanyama also flirted with an unofficial and ignominious triple-double, however, coughing up a career-high nine turnovers. As much as he did to keep the Spurs in the game, Wembanyama was also the biggest offender in the category that doomed them to defeat.

Turnovers have been a problem for Wembanyama off and on throughout his rookie season. He had only four combined in the Spurs’ first two games to kick off April.

It is fair to say Wembanyama, like the rest of the Spurs, did not handle Philadelphia’s pressure defense well when it got cranked up Sunday.

2. Champagnie one bitten, twice shy

Champagnie endured one of his most bizarre experienced on a basketball court when teammate Keldon Johnson accidentally bit him while celebrating Champagnie’s go-ahead 3-pointer in the second quarter.
